Her replacement will be Anastasia Cammaroto, currently Westpac's chief information officer, consumer bank.
Westpac has confirmed that Opperman finishes up at Westpac on 22 December. Craig is currently Chief Technology Officer for Citis Global Consumer Bank. Before becoming CEO, she was President of Citi and CEO of the Global Consumer Bank, responsible for all of Citi’s consumer businesses in 19 markets. In welcoming Opperman, Citi also acknowledged the contribution of Sanjeev Mehra who has served as the interim head of APAC and EMEA technology since July 2017, replacing Shamus Weiland who relocated to Citi's New York office to take on the role of managing director, head of North America, consumer technology. Westpac Group Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Brian Hartzer, today announced. During her 18-year career at Citi, Jane has held leadership roles across Citi’s consumer and institutional businesses. She is currently the general manager of business integration at Westpac and prior to this held a variety of roles, most notably as the Australia chief information officer (CIO) at ANZ and as the CIO of retail banking at Lloyds Banking Group. Opperman has 25 years' technology leadership experience in the financial services industry. In her new role, Opperman will be based in Singapore and, according to Citi, "will be responsible for setting the vision and overall IT direction for the 17 country markets in the APAC and EMEA region." Citi has announced the appointment of Jayne Opperman as head of APAC and EMEA technology, effective January 2018.
